MAINTENANCE INTERVALS
These are based on a suggested MINIMUM interval time period.
Maintain as often as you wish.

Engine Oil and Filter - Every 3000 miles

 

Engine Coolant (Antifreeze) - Every 30,000 miles.
Draining the only the Radiator will cycle out about 8 quarts of the 9.5 quart cooling system capacity.

 

Transmission Fluid - Every 30,000 miles
If draining the pan ONLY and not a full flush, change Every 10,000 miles
(5 quarts of the 12 quart capacity every drain and refill)

 

Power Steering Fluid - Every 30,000 miles

 

Transfer Case Gear Oil - Every 30,000 miles

 

Differential Gear Oil - Every 30,000 miles.
If you don't use 4wd very often, you can change the front differential less frequently.

 

Greasing DriveShaft - Every other oil change

 

Air Filter - Every 30,000 miles
More regularly if you drive dusty fire roads or trails often

 

MAF Sensor Clean - Every 30,000 miles
More regularly if you drive dusty fire roads or trails often

 

Spark Plugs - Every 60,000 miles

 

Brakes - Inspected every 30,000 miles
Whenever you hear abnormal braking noise, or experiencing abnormal braking behavior

 

Tires - Rotate and balance every 5,000 miles

 

Timing Belt & Water Pump - Approximately 80,000 - 100,000 Miles

 

Fuel Filter - Approximately every 60,000 miles
However, Toyota claims they are Lifetime

 

Lower Ball Joints - Approx every 65,000 - 70,000 Miles
